Shravani Mela in Jalpesh banned due to COVID, temple gates will be open for devotees

Maynaguri, 18th July: Jalpesh Trustee Board has decided to not organize the Shravani Mela this year keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in mind. However, following all COVID protocols, the Jalpesh temple will be kept open for devotees.


Following the announcement, many businesspersons are in agony as most of them depend on the temple to earn a living. With the rising concern of the third wave of COVID-19 hitting the nation, all they can now do is hope for the situation to get back to normal.

Jalpesh Trustee Board Secretary Girindranath Deb said that the board has decided to completely ban the Shravani Mela this year. Nonetheless, following the COVID-19 guidelines, the temple will remain open for the devotees.
