Siliguri, 03rd February: The Shikshak Aikya Mukta Mancha handed over a memorandum to the Siliguri Subdivisional Officer, along with a five-point demand against National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
On Monday, a grand rally was held on behalf of the organization, which commenced from Siliguri’s Mahatma Gandhi Chowk (Air View More) and concluded at the Venus More. A roadblock was also staged at Venus More.
After the rally, a memorandum was handed over to the SDO on behalf of the Samiti. The State Secretary Mayidul Islam stated that they staged the protest against NRC and CAA.
