Bagdogra/Siliguri, 15th January: The activists of Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) submitted a memorandum to the In-charge of Bagdogra Police Station demanding the immediate arrest of rape-accused.
As per the information, a minor was sexually assaulted in the M M Terai area under Naxalbari Tehsil. The SFI and DYFI activists demanded the prompt arrest of the accused and harsh punishment against them.
Darjeeling District Secretary of SFI Sankar Majumdar, Deputy Secretary Shambhu Karmakar, Deepankar Das of DYFI Bagdogra Gosaipur Local Committee were present on the occasion.
