Siliguri, 04th September: Many confiscated vehicles that were kept near the Pradhannagar police station have been destroyed in a major fire that broke out on Friday night.
Reportedly, a major fire broke out near the Pradhan Nagar station premises around 9 pm on Friday. Upon receiving the news, two fire engines reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
The police have started an investigation into the cause of the fire. A forensic investigation will also be carried out into the incident.
Locals said that a bigger accident could have happened if the fire brigade had not arrived in time because a petrol pump is situated next to the spot.
