Siliguri, 12th May: A clash allegedly erupted between two families in the Siliguri Bhaktinagar area over the disposal of garbage. As per the report, several members of the families were injured in the incident.
Rubi Das, a local, alleged that a family in her neighborhood often dump their garbage inside Das’ house premises. On the other hand, another member of the family Anubhava Pandey alleged that she has seen some people regularly throwing their garbage outside their house.
She further maintained that upon protesting against the incident, they were beaten up and their house was also vandalized.
Upon receiving the news, Councilor Chandrani Mandal and the NJP police rushed to the scene shortly after and detained a person in the incident.
