Schools reopen in Bengal, students happy to return to classes

Siliguri, 03rd February: Schools for students of classes 8 to 12 as well as colleges reopened across the state from today. Although schools opened for classes 9-12 earlier, the state’s educational institutions were closed once again in January due to the increase in coronavirus cases.


Most of the students expressed happiness over schools being reopened. The authorities and teachers, while taking all steps to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines, welcomed students of standards 8,9,10,11,12 on Thursday. Classes were conducted as per government guidelines.

Meanwhile, school authorities have started searching for open grounds for students of classes I to VII under the state’s ‘Paray Shikshalaya’ (neighbourhood schools) campaign from February 07 onwards.
