Siliguri, 15th December: In three months, Round Table India successfully transformed the Vivekananda Hindi Primary School, located in Ward No. 03, and renovated its infrastructure. The school was initially in a dilapidated condition with two classes being conducted in a single room. The organization constructed five new classrooms in addition to modernizing the infrastructure.
The newly renovated school was inaugurated on Sunday by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, who officially handed it over to the school management.
Chairman of Round Table India, Utsav Mittal, shared that his team has successfully rebuilt over 15 schools so far. He mentioned that this particular school had been taken up for renovation three months ago, and it was now ready to be handed over to the authorities.
Chairperson of Round Table India’s Ladies Circle, Cherry Mittal, expressed joy, confirming the successful completion of the restructuring. The children will now be able to study without any hindrance in a more conducive environment.
In his address, Mayor Gautam Deb praised the initiative, stating that the construction of five new classrooms in a government school by Round Table India is a commendable effort.
The event was attended by Round Table India Project Convener Siddharth Dhanotia, Sachiv Piyush Agarwal, Hemu Agarwal, and the entire team of volunteers who worked on the project.
