Siliguri, 07th October: Siliguri police have arrested four members of a robbery gang before they could execute their plan. The accused have been identified as Vinod Sahani, MD Kamaluddin, Dhiraj Barman, and Viraj Barman.
According to police sources, a group of 10 to 12 miscreants gathered late on Sunday night in the Tikiapara area. The gang was plotting to carry out a major criminal act in the area under the jurisdiction of the Siliguri police station. However, following a tip-off, the police swiftly intervened and foiled the execution of the criminal activity.
The four miscreants were arrested while the remaining members managed to flee the scene upon noticing the police presence. The arrested individuals have been presented before the Siliguri court on Monday. The police are currently further investigating the entire incident.
