Rajganj, 27th January: The residents of the Mohant Para, in the Ambari area of Rajganj block, are dependent on the well for drinking due to lack of a pure drinking water facility.
The residents Dev Kumar Mahanta and Sandha Rani Sarkar stated that the people of the village are deprived of several government facilities. They further stated that apart from the drinking water facility, the roads in the area are in a deplorable state and there is no proper arrangement of a bridge to cross the river.
As per the information, two wells were constructed by the Gram Panchayat in the year 1990, one of which, has been destroyed. The locals alleged that the leaders made many promises during the elections and forgot about them soon after the polls were over.
