Rajganj, 23rd January: The absence of a bridge over the Hadiya River has made life difficult for the residents of the Mohanta para area in Haricharan Bhita under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block as they risk their lives while crossing the river every day.
Reportedly, the locals have been facing this problem for the last 30-35 years. It is alleged that despite discussing the issue with the Gram Panchayat authorities and the block administration, no steps have been taken yet to construct the bridge.
The locals alleged that at the time of elections, the leaders make promises but post the elections, no developmental works are conducted. They stated that if not a concrete bridge, at least one iron bridge should be made for them.
