Alipurduar, 06th September: Frustrated residents of Alipurduar Block-I staged a protest by blocking the road in Mejbil, citing long-standing grievances over the deteriorating road conditions and the resulting choking cloud of dust.
According to reports, the pervasive dust cloud has significantly reduced visibility on the road, posing challenges for smooth traffic flow. Pedestrians have also been adversely affected by the dusty environment. Protestors argue that the administration has neglected its duty to water the road. However, the protest itself led to severe traffic congestion.
In response to the situation, officers from the Sonapur Outpost swiftly arrived at the scene to alleviate the traffic jam and restore order.
