Cooch Behar, 10th May: In a recent development, the Registrar of Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University has been suspended over allegations of irregularities.
Reportedly, on April 24, Registrar Dr. Abdul Kader Safily, was issued showcause by Vice Chancellor Prof. Nikhil Chandra Roy, following accusations related to various university matters. The registrar was given seven working days to respond.
Sources within the university revealed that the suspension was enacted on Friday due to an unsatisfactory response to the notice. However, official comments on the matter remain elusive.
