Rajganj, 08th January: The Rajganj police station of Jalpaiguri district is displaying an appealing vibe attracting citizens. The garden of the police station comprises 25 varieties of roses which vibrates a message of beautification and cleanliness.
In addition, the presence of 12 Swans along with the rose garden on the left of the entrance of the police station. The 25 varieties of rose plants include colour red, white, and yellow roses.
Reportedly, the flower garden was built in the year 2018 under the initiative of the former OC Sujan Kundu. Since then, a civic volunteer named Debajit Roy has been taking care of the garden. In addition to his work, he looks after the plants both in the morning and in the evening. Currently, the present IC of Rajganj police station, Pankaj Sarkar is bearing the expenditure of maintaining the garden.
Whenever the citizens visit the police station, the rose garden and the group of swans seek their attention. For several years, the swans have been living in the police station. Significantly, small ponds and houses were constructed for them. The presence of the swans adds to the beautiful atmosphere of the police station.
