Rajganj, 29th January: In a recent development, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy’s vehicle was attacked. Significantly, the MLA escaped narrowly.
Reportedly, on Sunday night, the MLA was returning from a meeting in the Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat area under the Rajganj block. During this, stones were pelted at his vehicle in the Chakarmari area. Consequently, the vehicle’s glass behind the MLA’s seat was damaged.
It has to be noted that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is arriving at Fulbari on Monday, for which, the MLA was holding party meetings in several Gram Panchayat areas
In this regard, MLA Khageswar Roy stated that he was returning after a meeting in the Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat area at around 7:30 p.m. when the vehicle was attacked in the said area. He added that he had a narrow escape. Further, he alleged the opposition’s involvement in the incident.
