Rajganj, 18th April: Sensation prevailed after 6 kgs of dust and sandstones were found inside an LPG gas cylinder in the Rajganj Kayetgachh area on Saturday.
A local named Ramesh Roy stated that he received an LPG gas cylinder 12 days ago under the PM Ujjwala Yojana scheme. On Friday, after having doubts that the cylinder might be empty, he weighed it and was shocked to see that the cylinder weighed 21 kgs, which is far more than the usual weight of an empty cylinder i.e. 15 kgs.
Roy, then with the help of his neighbors opened the cylinder and was startled to find dust and sandstones inside it. The incident created a stir in the area. Upon receiving the news, the local Panchayat member Hajrat Mohammad stated that the matter will be reported to the BDO.
On the other hand, upon questioning the delivery man Dipankar Roy, he stated that he has been completely unaware of the matter. He further added that the issue has been reported to the Distributor.
