Gajoldoba, 05th July: In a significant operation, the block administration of Rajganj demolished a garden house that was illegally constructed on government land near Gajoldoba.
According to reports, on the previous Tuesday, a substantial portion of government land near Gajoldoba was cleared of encroachment. Following this, the administration installed a government land board to mark the reclaimed area. In the wake of the anti-encroachment drive, the block administration demolished a farmhouse that was established on the land.
It has been reported that the farmhouse, built on the encroached land next to the Gajoldoba suspension bridge, was owned by a councillor in Siliguri. On Friday, several parts of the garden house were demolished in the presence of Rajganj Block Development Officer Prashant Barman, Rajganj Land Reform Officer Sukhen Roy, and police officials.
