Rajganj, 07th March: Rajganj’s Block Development Officer (BDO), Prashant Barman, has stepped forward to assist a financially distressed family in arranging the marriage of their daughter. On Thursday, he met with the family and provided various items along with financial aid for the wedding ceremony.
According to reports, Suchitra Roy, the daughter of Sadhan Roy, was to engage in holy matrimony with Manab Roy, the son of Nityanand Roy, at Futki Para of Panikauri Gram Panchayat. However, Sadhan Roy was facing considerable unease regarding the arrangements for his daughter’s wedding and was unsure how to manage the expenses.
Fortunately, with the mutual agreement of both families, the decision was made to hold the wedding at the groom’s residence, easing some of the financial burdens. Meanwhile, BDO Prashant Barman learned of the family’s situation and intervened. On Thursday, he handed over some financial help including a wardrobe, showcase, and fan in the hands of that family. The timely support from the BDO has been met with gratitude from the local community, including the Roy family.
