Rajganj BDO and LR Department officials seized three dumpers illegally loaded with sand

Rajganj, 12th January: Rajganj BDO Prashant Barman in collaboration with Land Revenue (LR) Department officials has seized three dumpers illegally loaded with sand from the Manuaganj area of Ambari-Hathimore State Road of Rajganj.


According to administrative sources, the officials received a tip-off that sand was being unlawfully loaded into vehicles. Subsequently, a campaign was launched and the dumpers were successfully seized. The drivers of the seized vehicles admitted to not possessing valid documentation or invoices for sand collection. They further claimed that legal permits were not provided online. In addition, the amount charged for legal permission was not specified in the challan. As a result, they were facing difficulties and would only be able to follow the rules if the issue was resolved.

Meanwhile, Rajganj BDO Prashant Barman asserted to continue the campaign and that violation of government regulations will never be tolerated. As a result, three dumpers have been seized on Friday. He added that there is a legal procedure available online to obtain a permit for such activity. In addition, the BDO added that if dumper owners have any complaints regarding the matter they should let the authorities know. All related concerns would be conveyed to the higher-ranking personnel.
