Rajganj, 03rd November: On Sunday, a significant part of the country celebrated Bhai Dooj, a festival where sisters apply tilak on their brothers’ foreheads and wish for their well-being. On this auspicious day, the women of the Rajbanshi community honored Range Officer Sanjay Dutta with the traditional tilak.
On Sunday, women from Nadhabari village in the Baikunthpur Forest Division gathered to perform the ritual for Sanjay Dutta, the Range Officer of Lataguri Forest Division. Around 40 women came together to celebrate the occasion. In return, Sanjay Dutta presented winter clothing to the sisters.
Speaking about the event, Sanjay Dutta mentioned that the women from the village had been celebrating Bhai Dooj with him for several years during his tenure as the Range Officer in Belakoba. However, he had been unable to participate in the tradition due to transfers over the past two years. He further expressed his joy upon participating in the occasion after being transferred back to Lataguri.
Meanwhile, the local women rejoiced in celebrating the occasion with Range Officer Sanjay Dutta.
