Railways recovered 68 lakh rupees in December from passengers without tickets

Siliguri, 05 January: During a checking conducted in all railway stations under Katihar division from December 1 to 31, more than 13 thousand passengers traveling without tickets were fined. A sum of 68 lakh rupees was collected from the operation.
As per the report, a ‘ticket checking operation’ was initiated by forming several groups in trains traveling to different places via NJP under the Katihar Division of NF Railway.
