Rajganj, 25th February: The busy road of Belakoba in Rajganj on Sunday afternoon witnessed unprecedented traffic congestion as a significant portion of the railway crossing gate was damaged which led the locals and motorists to experience inconvenience for a long time.
According to reports, the railway crossing gate broke apart when the on-duty railway personnel attempted to close the Belakoba Railgate. However, no one was injured in the incident. Meanwhile, the railway personnel were engaged in efforts to remove the heavy railway gate. Consequently, long queues of vehicles were seen on either side of the road. Subsequently, the traffic jam was cleared when the broken railway gate was removed.
In this regard, locals stated that Belakoba is a populated area. Several trains operate from the location leading to severe traffic jams every day. As a result, the locals demanded for a flyover followed by the incident.
