Rail services to remain closed to support ‘Janata Curfew’

New Delhi, 21st March: The Ministry of Railways has completely closed the train service from Saturday 12 am to Sunday 10 pm. It was reported that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has called for a ‘Janata Curfew’ from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. He has appealed to the people to stay indoors during the ‘Janata Curfew’. The Ministry of Railways has taken the decision in view of the announcement.


According to the instructions issued, no zone will operate a train from its place from March 21-22. 2400 passenger trains and 1300 mail/express trains, which operate daily throughout the country, will be closed.
