Siliguri, 01st December: A bar owner and two managers were arrested for operating a bar and pub beyond the allowed hours, in violation of government regulations. The arrested individuals have been identified as Prince Jain, the bar owner, and the two managers, Manish Singh and Abhijeet Majumdar.
According to police sources, the bar and pub, located on Sevoke Road in Siliguri, continued operating late into the night, despite the official closing hours. Multiple complaints had been lodged with the police regarding the establishment’s non-compliance with the set timings.
On the night of November 30, a joint operation was conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Bhakti Nagar police. The police raided the bar and arrested the three individuals for running the establishment past the permitted hours.
On Sunday, the three accused were presented in the Jalpaiguri court, and the police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
