Siliguri, 06th November: Schools and colleges are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this situation, a press conference was held at the SDO office to raise awareness among the students regarding the State’s Kanyashree Prakalpa.
Kanyashree department OC Sanhita Talapatra was present during the press conference today. She said that all the work in this concern is being carried out from schools. However, due to the current crisis, communication with students has become difficult. She further stated that if students face problems in communicating with the school authorities, questions can also be asked by visiting the website.
She further said that the target for filling up Kanyashree forms in the academic year 2020-21 was 5774, however, only 4889 forms have been submitted. Besides, she said that midday meal work will start at the schools soon.
