Rajganj, 13th February: Preparations are in full swing for the 75th annual Shiv Puja and four-day fair at the historic Bhadreshwar Temple in Rajganj on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. The temple premises are being decorated and organized to host the event smoothly.
Located near Kalinagar in Rajganj, the ancient temple is associated with many local legends and beliefs. Every year on Shiv Chaturdashi, devotees gather here for the puja and fair.
Temple committee members stated that the four-day fair will be held from 15th to 19th February. Shopkeepers from various areas have already arrived with their stalls, and arrangements for the fair are progressing at full pace.
Devotees come not only from Rajganj block but also from Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, and neighbouring areas. Organizers expect several thousand visitors to attend this year.
