Siliguri, 25th May: In a bid to bolster security measures, Pradhan Nagar police station has recently installed 75 state-of-the-art CCTV cameras across strategic locations within its jurisdiction. The deployment includes 29 cameras spanning from Darjeeling More to Salbari area, 30 cameras covering Champasari to Tindharia, as well as the State Guest House, and an additional 16 cameras in the Samar Nagar area.
Today, Commissioner Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi inaugurated the CCTV control room at Pradhan Nagar police station. During the inauguration ceremony, Commissioner Chaturvedi stated that the introduction of these 75 CCTV cameras enables round-the-clock surveillance, aiding law enforcement personnel in ensuring public safety and crime prevention. Furthermore, he revealed plans for future installations of additional CCTV cameras, further fortifying the security infrastructure in the area.
