Siliguri, 21st June: In a foiled attempt of robbery, the Pradhan Nagar police successfully arrested Pranay Mandal (28), Rakesh Mandal (24) and Asim Sarkar (32). The arrested individuals are residents of the Samar Nagar area adjoining Siliguri.
According to reports, at 1 o’clock the police received a tip-off about several miscreants that gathered in the Parvati Ghat area of Baghajatin Colony. Subsequently, the police officers initiated an operation and arrested the three. Following a search, the police officials recovered sharp weapons from the miscreants.
Investigations revealed that the three had gathered to execute a planned robbery before their arrest. On Friday, the accused trio was produced before the Siliguri Court for further legal proceedings.
