Rajganj, 29th September: Residents and drivers in Rajganj are facing significant travel difficulties due to a severely damaged road filled with potholes. Recent rainfall has worsened the situation, turning these potholes into temporary ponds and making the road difficult for commuting.
Reportedly, the Ambari-Hatimore state road, particularly the stretch near Ambari-Battala, has been in disrepair for several months. This has led to a series of both minor and major accidents.
Local auto-rickshaw drivers and residents have reported that the road has been in this poor condition for nearly six months. Large potholes filled with water are obstructing traffic, making it challenging for vehicles of all sizes to navigate. Parents are especially concerned as they struggle to take their children to school safely.
Residents have raised the issue with the local panchayat and the head of the panchayat, seeking urgent repairs to the road.
In response, Samijuddin Ahmed, the Pradhan of the Binaguri Gram Panchayat, stated over the phone that initial repair work has begun on the road from Sahudangi to Ambari. He assured that the second phase of repairs will start soon to address the remaining damaged sections.
