Cooch Behar, 18th December: An incident of mishap surfaced from the Ghoksadanga area of Cooch Behar where a police van abruptly lost control and rammed into a pickup van while returning home from duty leaving several injured.
According to information, the vehicle was headed towards Kalimpong on Sunday night after finishing its shift at the Rash Mela. Subsequently, the bus abruptly lost control and slammed into a pick-up van that was already parked on the side of the road in the Ghoksadanga-Ambari area. Following this, the bus veered over towards a roadside reservoir. As a result, the policemen in the vehicle suffered significant injuries.
The injured officials were promptly rescued and taken to the hospital. As per details, three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition and are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
