Police seize 65 buffaloes destined for smuggling in Bidhannagar, four arrested

Bidhannagar, 20th May: Bidhannagar police successfully intercepted and apprehended four individuals attempting to smuggle 65 buffaloes. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted an operation at the Murliganj Check Post today and apprehended two containers, leading to the discovery of 65 buffaloes concealed within it. 


The police wasted no time in arresting the four individuals associated with the smuggling attempt. The accused have been identified as Dilip Karmakar (24), Mohammad Sukuruddin (19), Mohammad Rashid (30), and Mohammad Farman Ali (22), all hailing from Dalkhola in Uttar Dinajpur district. According to police sources, the recovered buffaloes were intended for smuggling to Bangladesh.
