Siliguri, 16th September: The Pradhan Nagar police have successfully recovered stolen items after interrogating the apprehended thief responsible for the crime. The accused, Prakash Kumar Sharma (20), a resident of Gurung Basti in Ward No. 03, was taken into custody following a series of investigations by the police.
According to reports, on September 7, Sharma executed a theft in a vacant residence located in Gurung Basti. The owner of the residence reported the crime to the Pradhan Nagar Police Station on September 10. The police officers initiated an investigation, examined the CCTV footage, and identified the thief leading to his arrest. On September 11, the accused thief was produced before the Siliguri Court and was kept in police remand.
Following a thorough interrogation, the police officers successfully recovered the stolen gold and silver ornaments along with cash from Sharma’s house. The accused was again produced before the Siliguri Court for further legal proceedings while the entire incident is under further investigation.
