Jalpaiguri, 31st March: The Kotwali police of Jalpaiguri recovered the body of a person from a locked house in Deshbandhu Para of Ward No. 24 of Jalpaiguri. The deceased has been identified as Dushasan Barik (34) from Odisha. Due to his work, Barik had apparently rented Sumit Bhattacharya’s house, a resident of Deshbandhu Para.
According to local sources, the neighbors grew suspicious and informed the police after there was no sign of Barik in the last three days. The police broke into the house and found Dushasan Barik lying dead on the floor of the house. The cause of death has not yet been determined. Police are investigating the whole matter.
