Siliguri, 09th July: Police surveillance has been increased on behalf of the administration after the murder of a youth surfaced from Murder More in Fulbari.
It is to recall, a youth was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon at the Murder more area on Wednesday night. The deceased was a resident of Chopra in Uttar Dinajpur district but used to stay in a rented house in Jatiyakali. Meanwhile, an atmosphere of panic was witnessed among the locals after the incident came to light. They raised questions on the role of the police and the security system. The locals alleged that various anti-social activities take place in their area and demanded strict police patrolling.
On the other hand, the police administration has started an investigation to find out the cause of the murder. A team of the NJP police re-inspected the scene on Thursday. A search has also been launched in the area. However, police patrols will continue in the area from now on, police sources said.
