Police hand over stolen items to the management of a government school in Champasari

Siliguri, 18th January: The officers of the Pradhan Nagar police station successfully retrieved the stolen government property and returned it to the school management. It is to be noted that the incident led to the arrest of accused Shambhu Biswas and Bikas Barman from the Samar Nagar area on charges of theft.


Previously, a theft had occurred at Sriguru Vidya Mandir, a government school located in Champasari under Ward No. 46 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). The thieves had allegedly broken into the school premises and stolen several ingredients used for mid-day meals at the school. Following this, the incident was reported at the Pradhan Nagar police station.

Subsequently, the police arrested the accused criminals from the Samar Nagar area on the night of December 31. Following the interrogation, the police successfully recovered the stolen items and returned them to the school management after the legal procedure. Regarding this, the management expressed its gratification to the Pradhan Nagar police station.
