Siliguri, 18th March: The traffic police have once again launched a campaign against e-rickshaws without number plates. Several unnumbered Totos were seized during the said drive at Hashmi Chowk in Siliguri.
It is to be noted that the movement of unnumbered Totos is prohibited on the main roads of the city. Despite the instructions of the administration, totos still ply on the main roads of Siliguri. However, time-to-time steps are taken by the police administration, against innumerable numberless totos defying the law.
On the other hand, Toto drivers said that they are driving Toto as per the rules and that the police are unnecessarily troubling them.
