Police busted liquor smuggling racket in Siliguri, four arrested

Siliguri, 31st January: Another incident of smuggling liquor has been exposed by the Pradhan Nagar police station. The said liquor was being smuggled into Bihar but the police foiled the plan and arrested four smugglers with huge quantities of liquor. The said liquor was being smuggled in a secret compartment on the roof of the vehicle. The arrested smugglers have been identified as Mukesh Kumar (32), Pappu Sadah (35), Sanjeev Kumar Paswan (35), and Sunil Sah (26).


According to information received from police sources, last night the team received a tip-off about the smuggling. After this the police launched a campaign near Darjeeling More. During this, a huge amount of liquor was recovered from a special chamber in the roof of the car bearing number (WB72D4292). After this, the police seized the liquor and arrested four including the driver. Today, the police have registered a case against the four for smuggling liquor and presented them in the Siliguri court.
