Siliguri, 04th January: COVID cases are on the rise across the state. Strict restrictions have been imposed by the state government since Monday. Meanwhile, many people fail to understand the gravity of the situation and are spotted without masks.
On Tuesday, various police stations launched operations in the Siliguri Police Commissionerate area. This morning, a raid was carried out by Panitanki Traffic Guard in Bidhan Market and Khudiram Palli area. Meanwhile, several people have been arrested for not wearing masks. Continuous operations will be carried out in the coming days.
The state government has urged all to not step out of the house without urgent work after 10 pm. In view of this, the police have launched a special search operation at night as well.
