Rajganj, 23rd September: On Saturday, the police and Excise Department of Ambari Outpost conducted an anti-liquor drive in several locations including Kamat Para, Chakiabhita adjacent to Sahudangi of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat.
During the drive, approximately 100 liters of fermented liquor were destroyed. In addition, police apprehended an individual with banned local and foreign liquor in the Mahamaya Colony area of Ambari.
According to police sources, the drive was launched following complaints from locals alleging banned liquor being sold in several households in the area. It was also revealed that such initiatives would continue even in the future.
