Police administration holds meeting with Durga puja committees in Siliguri

Siliguri, 07th October: The police administration held a meeting for the second time along with various Durga Puja committees at Siliguri’s Shivam Palace.


During the meeting, several instructions have been issued by the police officials. According to the government instructions, puja should be organized in accordance with all safety measures. Masks and sanitizers should be kept inside the puja pandals, no cultural events and fairs will be organized and social distance must be maintained without fail. Also, permission will not be granted for idol immersion amidst huge crowds.

This year, people will be allowed to visit Puja Pandals from Tritiya itself. As a result, vehicles have been prohibited from plying on selected roads from Tritiya.


The meeting was attended by Police Commissioner Tripurari Arthav, Joint Commissioner Sabyasachi Raman Mishra, DCP Headquarters Joy Tudu, ACP Swapan Sarkar, ACP Chinmoy Mittal, SDO Sumanta Sahay, SSB, BSF, Fire, Health, and Tourism department officials.
