PM Modi to virtually lay foundation stone for Bagdogra Airport’s new terminal, MP Bista inspects venue

Siliguri, 19th October: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for the new terminal at Bagdogra Airport on Sunday. The Prime Minister will participate in the ceremony virtually.


The project for the airport is estimated to cost around Rs 1540 crore, with the new international terminal spanning 70,400 square meters. The terminal will feature all modern services, significantly enhancing the airport’s facilities.

The event will take place tomorrow at Kawakhali ground in Siliguri, where BJP workers from various districts, including Siliguri, will gather. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista visited the venue earlier today to oversee preparations. He inspected the site on Saturday morning. Other BJP MPs and MLAs are also expected to attend the event.
