Siliguri, 17th May: Amidst the scorching heat followed by heavy rainfall over the past few weeks, thick fog and cool atmosphere enveloped Gajoldoba on Friday. The sight of thick fog over the Teesta River caught the eye of many passers-by.
Gajoldoba of Jalpaiguri district lures tourists throughout the year. It is famous for the dam built for irrigational purposes on the Teesta River. Generally, June is a hot month across the country, however, tourists were spotted dropping by Gajoldoba this morning to enjoy the winter-like weather.
