People crowd in the banks and ration shops of Siliguri Bhaktinagar area ignoring government guidelines

Siliguri, 03rd April: Siliguri along with the entire country is under 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. Despite this, huge crowds have been spotted in the banks and ration shops of the NJP Bhaktinagar area.

Ignoring the government guidelines, several people stood in close contact with each other without maintaining social distance (a minimum of 1 m).

As a result, panic has spread all over the area. Upon receiving the news, the NJP police reached the spot and drew circles in front of the ration shops and banks to prevent gatherings and maintain social distancing.
