Siliguri, 03rd April: While addressing the nation through a video message, on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the citizens to end the darkness of the novel coronavirus by lighting candles or flashing torches and mobile phones from their houses for 9 minutes at 9 pm on Sunday, April 5.
In this regard, huge crowds were sighted in several wholesale shops of Siliguri Nivedita Market to buy candles. Trader Ajay Das stated that all the retailers are busy buying candles of varied price rates. However, due to huge sales, all the candles went out of stock within an hour.
