Paved Roads, No Culverts: Commuters face traffic problems in Rajganj

Rajganj, 05th May: Residents of Rajganj block are facing inconvenience in reaching their destinations due to the broken culverts along the roadways. Despite having paved roads, several villages in the area are grappling with traffic issues due to the absence of culverts.

According to reports, the road connecting Birban through Ambari’s Pelkavita in Rajganj block is blocked by a broken culvert on the route. Locals from Birban, Rangalivita, and other neighboring areas frequently use the road to reach Ambari. Despite the construction of well-paved roads for the past six months, the damaged culvert has forced the commuters to take alternative routes.

Expressing their frustration, locals highlighted the lack of properly built culverts despite of having well-paved roads. They further emphasized the urgent need to repair the culverts to ease the traffic flow and improve accessibility for residents.

Meanwhile, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed acknowledged the issue, confirming the collapse of a culvert in Pelkavita. He assured that the matter has been reported to higher authorities, and once the election process is completed, the construction of the culvert will commence promptly.
