Pakistan national and 2 Nepali citizens arrested on Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari

Kharibari, 20th July: A Pakistani national along with two Nepali citizens were apprehended at the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari. The detained individuals are identified as Saifullah (46), a resident of Mardan district in Pakistan, and Man Bahadur Thapa (51), and Megh Bahadur Mongar (40), both residents of Nepal.


According to sources, on Friday, jawans from the 41st battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) intercepted a four-wheeler coming from Nepal at the border and conducted an inquiry. Three individuals were detained due to suspicious activities and handed over to the Kharibari Police.

Police sources revealed that Saifullah, the Pakistani national, is associated with a security agency in Dubai. The two Nepali detainees were reportedly collaborating on repairing a vehicle in Panitanki when the incident occurred.


The arrested individuals have been brought before the Siliguri district court on Monday. The entire incident is under investigation by the police.
