Rajganj, 29th September: A youth, among the two youths, who were critically injured in a tragic road accident in the Bhutkihaat area has succumbed to his injuries. The other youth, named Ayub Ali, is in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Hamidar Ali.
As per reports, on Friday, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, party leader Vijay Das, and other representatives of the area met the family of the deceased. Both the deceased and the injured are residents of Birban area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat. The deceased was survived by his wife, two children, and elderly parents.
It has to be noted that, on Thursday, a bus en route to Siliguri rammed into a scooty in the Bhutkihaat area. As a result, the two occupants of the two-wheeler fell on the road. After the incident, both the injured were rescued and rushed to a private hospital in Siliguri. Meanwhile, the bus was set on fire by an agitated mob after the incident.
In this regard, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed revealed that Hamidar worked as a mason and sustained his family. He added that he stands with the family and would try to get government aid for them. Furthermore, he stated that the family of the injured youth will also be given assistance.
