Islampur, 16th January: An ambulance driver was killed while a man was injured in a collision between a tractor and an ambulance on National Highway 31 in Ramganj area under Islampur police station. The deceased has been identified as Jagaddar Thakur (50), a resident of Subhash Nagar area of Islampur.
According to sources, the ambulance was approaching from Chopra to the Islampur Subdivisional Hospital when it collided with a tractor in Ramganj area. The ambulance passenger and driver were injured in the incident. The locals immediately rushed the duo to Islampur Subdivisional Hospital, where the driver was declared dead by doctors. Islampur police are investigating the incident.
