Belakoba, 29th April: In a horrifying mishap, a scooty rider lost his life in a head-on collision with a motorbike in Belakoba of Rajganj on Monday. The deceased, identified as Mafizar Rahman (50), is stated to be a resident of Pradhanpara located in Belakoba.
According to reports, a speeding motorbike rider was heading towards Battala from Belakoba, while the scooty rider was crossing the road. During this, the two vehicles accidentally collided and consequently the two riders fell on the road.
After the incident, the locals and Belakoba Outpost police rescued the scooty driver and rushed to the Belakoba Rural Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, the incident was thoroughly examined through the CCTV cameras installed in the area. The Rajganj police have arrested the bike driver involved in the incident and would produce him at the District court on Tuesday. At present, the police are engaged in further investigation of the entire incident.
