Rajganj, 20th March: A tragic incident surfaced where a dumper driver lost his life and another driver sustained severe injuries after a head-on collision between two dumper trucks.The accident took place in the Khatkhati Ghat area on Gajoldoba-Fulbari Canal Road. However, the identities of both the drivers are yet to be ascertained.
According to local sources, a six-wheeler dumper was heading towards Ambari from Gajoldoba around 7 am. During this, a head on collision occurred at Khatkhati Ghat area on the Canal Road with another 12 wheeler dumper travelling towards Gajoldoba.
Consequently, a dumper driver died on the spot while the driver of the other vehicle was severely injured. Upon being alerted, the police arrived at the spot. Subsequently, the deceased body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the injured driver was transported to the hospital for medical care. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
