Kharibari, 03rd April: A tragic incident surfaced from Gaur Singh Jote area adjacent to Panitanki in Kharibari where an individual lost his life after being hit by a train. However, at the time of report, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Reportedly, the individual was hit by a train while attempting to cross the railway tracks. Upon receiving the news, Panitanki Outpost police and Railway police officials arrived at the spot. Subsequently, the body was recovered and transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the incident.
